Michelle - Owner and Director, StreetTread Dance Studio Team

Dance and music has always been a passion in Michelle’s life. She has danced in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Modern and lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, and Acrobatics. Training professionally in dance, following high school, at Brent Street Studios in Sydney, Michelle then moved on to performing locally in crews and corporate events around Brisbane. With a desire to expand her skills internationally she took to training, performing, and teaching in the UK, USA, and Canada. Now with 15 years of teaching experience at schools including Mad Dance House, All That Dance, and Premier Dance Studio, Michelle is starting her own street feel dance school to pass her passion and love for dance on to kids out there.

Courtni fell in love with dancing at the age of four and she’s since made it her life. Her professional career in the dance industry now spans more than 10 years experience in teaching, directing, choreographing and performing. She is qualified to teach in array of styles including hip-hop, jazz, break dance, lyrical, cheer, acrobatics, ballet, and a whole lot more. During her studies and while teaching, she developed her ability to help students grow through understanding and recognising their potential and working with them to become strong and confident dancers.

Courtni’s devotion to dance drives her desire to teach. Her caring nature and attention to technical detail make her a positive mentor for all her students.

Bboy Liam - StreetTread team

Dancing since he was 11, Liam has an impressive resume that shows he’s a specialist when it comes to street dance. Trained in popular urban styles bboying, popping, locking, hip hop choreography, grooves and house, Liam also has a repertoire of more traditional dance forms. Experience in jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, cabaret, ballroom and salsa give him the expert all-round skills that he brings to his classes. Liam’s keen on performing and has danced competitively for the past 5 years.

Alexia joins us from the circus. Her family has seven generations of circus performers which makes acrobatics second nature to her. Not only that, she’s currently training in rhythmic gymnastics to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Alexia started ballet when she was four years old and has studied internationally in the US at Miami City Ballet and Houston Ballet and locally at the Queensland Ballet Academy, Queensland National Ballet and the Australian Ballet. She recently completed her Advanced Diploma in Dance and now has her sights set on a degree in teaching..

Aimee - StreetTread Team

Aimee brings an abundance of performance and technical experience to the StreetTread team. She has been dancing at All That Dance Studio in Ashgrove, Brisbane for 15 years where she immersed herself in a passion she’s had for as long as she can recall. Aimee is trained in hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary and has performed competitively for 10 years. She loves being on stage. Dancing has been an integral part of Aimee’s life for many years and now she’s excited to share her experiences and knowledge with the next generation of dance superstars.
