Meet StreetTread’s team of highly trained teachers.
Our team bring a wealth of talent and experience to our classes
and they love to share everything they know.

Michelle

Michelle’s passion for dance emerged when she attended ballet class at the age of six. Lured by the culture, creativity and music, dance was to facilitate discipline in all areas of her life. Michelle performed in key roles in many ballets across the country including Giselle and Swan Lake at the Canberra Theatre. Graduating from the Australian Ballet School she danced with the St. Gallen Ballet Company in Switzerland for 3 years. After returning to Australia, Michelle’s love for dance culminated in teaching ballroom dancing in both Melbourne and Brisbane.

As a mother of four beautiful and talented children, Michelle realised her dream of sharing her passion for dance.

In 2005, Creative Dance Industries was born from an idea of imparting her knowledge through Christian principles to students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Michelle believes that dance is an integral part of students’ lives liberating them to express themselves to music and in turn better understand the cultural diversities in the world in which we live.

Savannah

Savannah started with StreetTread in Acrobatics and is now our newest Student Instructor taking the Intro to Acro class and assisting in others. She is passionate about dancing and teaching others to dance because she believes that it is a great way to express yourself, and seeing others learn to do that is incredibly rewarding.

Savannah came to StreetTread from a mostly gymnastic background, and naturally was drawn towards acrobatic dance and has since been climbing the levels. The studio has also sparked interest in other dance classes of which she participates. She loves StreetTread’s vision that everyone should have a go. Savannah says she has many happy memories at StreetTread, but my favourites were becoming friends with people in my classes, and I hope to encourage other students to do the same.

Savannah’s goals are to further improve her academic performance, with a view to study law at University. She will continue to grow her dance skills through teaching and through her StreetTread classes.
